Vamos Fitness AI

What it does

Everything below is in the app today. Where something needs Vamos Pro, it says so.

Plans

Write up to fifty words about what you want — a goal, how many days you have, days you cannot train, muscles you want to focus on, something that hurts. Vamos turns that into a dated plan of one to four weeks, drawn only from exercises you have left enabled.

Multiple plan blocks can coexist on the calendar, so a new plan does not wipe the old one. Training frequency is held to a sensible range: ask for one day a week or seven and the app adjusts it and tells you it did.

The calendar

The library

One hundred exercises grouped by muscle and sub-group — legs breaks down into quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves — each with equipment, instructions and a bundled demonstration clip. The clips ship inside the app, so they play in a gym basement with no signal.

Disable anything you cannot or would rather not do, one exercise at a time or a whole equipment category at once. Disabled movements never appear in a plan, a suggestion or the manual picker.

Logging and progress

Session summary — Vamos Pro

A trained day shows total tonnage, how long it took and a calorie figure. Duration is worked out from when you logged sets or ticked exercises — there is no start or stop button to forget. If an Apple Watch recorded a workout over that time, the app shows the energy Apple measured; otherwise it estimates and says so.

Your sets and weights are recorded whether or not you subscribe. Only the summary is behind Pro, so nothing is lost by subscribing later — every past session appears the moment you do.

Apple Watch — Vamos Pro

A rest timer you feel rather than watch: pick a duration on the wrist, or let the app offer the rest your plan prescribes, and get a tap when it is up. Tap an exercise to log a set without picking up your phone.

Meal logging — Vamos Pro

Swipe a day from training to food and record up to three meals. Type what you ate in a few words and Vamos estimates protein and calories. A photo is optional and stays on your phone — it is never sent anywhere and is not used to work out the estimate.

Estimates, and labelled as such. Calorie figures carry wide error by construction, so they are rounded coarsely and always marked as estimates. Vamos does not subtract what you ate from what you burned, does not set a daily calorie target, and does not tell you whether a meal was good or bad. It is a food diary, not a weight-loss instrument.

Moving to another phone

Most people never need this — an ordinary iPhone upgrade carries everything across. But you can export your whole history as a single encrypted file and AirDrop it, save it to Files or put it on a USB stick. It never touches our servers, and without its 26-character code it is noise.
